The Extra Stretch
This post is going to be very different than all the others. We have been preparing our little homestead for self sufficiency as the Garells will be stretching our way across the country.
Yep, we are going to camp our way to California for a family reunion. Of course I will post our adventures as we go so check in frequently.

| Sweet husband assembled and reinforced this extra large coop for the girls. Their sitter will let them out to play often but we wanted them to have more space to stretch. We have never left them cooped up so hopefully they don't mind it too much. Husband says it is all but bear proof...we have coop cameras, flashing lights and sensor lights. Hoping they stay safe. |

| Strawberries are all tucked in to protect them from birds...especially our hens. Just establishing the plants this year so they should be all set. |

| We planted lots of goodies in the coop for the girls to dig through. |

| We burned down the brush pile to keep the snakes at bay. |

| Our greens are all tucked in to protect them from cabbage worms and direct sun. Wishing them luck too. |

| They like their playground including swings...stay happy girls and see you on the other side of the adventure. |
